Band Camp and The Shining…

Bellweather Imagine going to band camp, in the hotel from The Shining. And then a snowstorm traps you inside, possibly with a murderer. Hundreds of students have arrived for a state music festival, on the same weekend as the anniversary of an awful murder-suicide in the same hotel. The first night of the festival, a student goes missing. Is she dead, or is it a prank for revenge? With more twists and turns than the old hotel itself, the plot keeps you guessing, and jumping, and secretly wishing you were there yourself. Grab a warm drink, turn down the lights, and disappear into this thrilling mystery. Thanks to my local book club for suggesting it, can’t wait to go discuss it this week! -Ms.Alderman

Must-read interview with the author about how she came up with the book, but finish it first! Spoilers!
