Book Club Icebreaker – Themed Question Box

Worried that your book club isn’t going to know where to start discussing the book?

Recently we discussed Lahari’s Unaccustomed Earth, a book of short stories. Each story had it’s own depth and themes, and they were tied together as well. We also had a new member in the group. Using an online book club guide I typed out some questions and put them in a tiny jeweled box from India. (Thanks Ann Arbor Library District!)

Any time the conversation lagged, we passed the box on, and the questions weren’t always answered, but they led to other questions.

What do you use to keep conversation going? Happy to feature your Book Club!
